Sixth form students from Droitwich Spa High School recently conducted a 24 hour, non-stop relay walk and run around the school's 400 metre sports track to raise money for St Richard's Hospice in Worcester.
The event started at noon on Saturday July 8th and finished at noon on Sunday July 8th. The students attracted a large group of entrants and supplemented the fundraising effort with a range of activities such as a bouncy slide, stalls and a refreshment stand.
Because the event was an all-nighter a camping area was set up so that relay participants could snatch some sleep in between times on the track.
That's where D-tox was able to help.
As part of our renowned charity policy we supplied 3 portable toilets free of charge. We were delighted to hear that the students reached their target of £1,000 to give to St Richards. The hospice cares for around 3,000 patients and their families from around Worcester every year. It has well over 30 years history of providing support and its assistance is needed now more than ever.
Congratulations to the students who organised the fundraiser and everybody who helped them raise so much money for such a good cause.
If your charity event is taking place within a 15 mile radius of our yard in Aldridge then we will do our best to help.
